Kafka on the beach

This is a book of adventures and mysteries, in which the "male-female, male-male and female-male" characters of the story intertwine in a way that stimulates the reader's curiosity. The reader must lift the magnificent blanket adorned with the writer's imaginative digressions and quotations from them. The English version of "Kafka on the Shore" is considered among the top ten in the United States novel market in 2005. The hero of the even chapters is a strange, timid, simple-minded old man, Nakata, who never recovered from his World War II injury and, incomprehensibly for him, drifts towards Kafka, who struggles with the loneliness and uncertainty of adulthood.
