Description
THE WRITER Rock and roll, obsessed with freedom. When you are with him, you feel like his X-ray eyes see the most essential. When you read, too. He makes no compromises, because why. Let's live. Openly, and according to our own valid points of view, poetically, and not stingy with our knowledge of giving. Let's work, make music, think, write, love. It seems easy, but it's not. Just try to pick up the pace with him! THE PHOTOGRAPHER We know he loves prime numbers. We know he loves music. We know he thinks in pictures. We know he knows a lot of things that we never will. We know he sees the world and people in a way that we don't, except if he shows us how. Right here and right now and exactly like this: in black and white, yet everyone in their diversity, in their richness or simplicity. THE MUSICIANS Many people have gathered here now: different in age, musical style, way of thinking. There could be more of them, of course, you will feel that, but the diversity is impressive, as they are here at the same time, and they are all ours. They are worth listening to again or getting to know. The harmony and overall picture of the portraits of the musicians and the vibrant texts about them do not reveal their stardom, but the deep and uniquely human nature that is in their artistry. tempó is a subjective, contemporary, light music imprint of Attila Baksa-Soós and Miki357 under the care of Hybridart Management. Tempó is a volume that guides the reader through the world of light music of our time, while making us forget all the familiar and usual points of reference we have known so far. The two authors present the performers as a result of long friendships, intimate relationships and stormy exchanges of ideas: photographer Miki357 with black and white portraits, and writer-poet Attila Baksa-Soós with free verse written through the subjective filter. The list of those depicted is varied and illustrious. A total of four generations are represented, through a photographic and literary profile consisting of more than ninety images and texts. Although the volume is largely built on personal preferences and relationships, it conveys valuable and independent thoughts to both keen music lovers and less experienced enthusiasts. The appropriately stylized philosophical musician portraits and the scratchily elegant black and white photographs come together to form a tightly edited volume that can be flipped through at a leisurely pace or while sitting in a plush-cushioned armchair. The tempo project is actually a cross-artistic one: it depicts the meeting point of the writer, who is himself an active musician, the photographer who directs the music videos and films, and the musicians who are generally engaged in a wide range of activities, depicted through literary texts.
